What is VIP Technology?

• VIP is Innovative FOTO’s revolutionary software technology that is used in conjunction with our Event photo booth product line (the Vintage, Retro, and Eventure photo booths).


• VIP Technology allows operators to offer a unique service that combines video capture with web-based viewing and integrated social networking.

What is included with VIP Technology?

• VIP includes both the photo booth software and the technology to securely host and customize web-based albums for each VIP client event.

What is the VIP user experience?

• Step 1: Choose the photo type: Color, Black & White, or Antique (Sepia).
• Step 2: Create a 30 sec. video message (Press “OK” to skip or when done).
• Step 3: Pose for Photos (The video keeps recording during the photo session!).
• Step 4: Check the bottom of your photo strip for the web page URL and personal claim code. Use the claim code on-line to access your personal content.

• Step 5: Use the web page URL and claim code to access your personal content.
• Step 6: Optionally upload your personal photo and video content to your Facebook, Flickr, or YouTube accounts.
• Step 7: View all other public photo and video content from the event.
• Step 8: View individual public photos.
• Step 9: Share your favorite public photo and video content using Facebook.

Do users get a photo strip?

• Yes! Actually, two identical photo strips are printed at the end of every VIP session. A unique claim code and web page URL prints at the bottom of every strip so users can locate and view their content online.

Are the photos and videos saved digitally?

• Yes! All video clips and photos are saved and can be exported by the booth operator to a DVD. The photos and video can then be viewed by your clients on a computer equipped with a DVD-ROM drive.

How do users find their videos and photos?

• A website address (URL) and a unique claim code prints on the bottom of each photo strip. From this website, users can navigate to their own personal content to view and share the photo and video content from the event.

Whose website will users visit to find their photos and videos?

• Your website! VIP Technology allows for two options:
  • Create a VIP claim code area on your corporate home page that interfaces with our VIP servers
  • VIP creates a brand-able companion website with your company logo and color scheme (a.k.a., the “landing page”). The landing page includes a claim box, event selection list and event calendar. Add a link to the landing page from your company’s corporate website so users can claim their personal content.
• In either case, users visit your website because VIP promotes your business and drives traffic back to you!

What website address will print on the bottom of each strip?

• If you create a claim code area on your own web page, it will be your company’s corporate website address
• If using our VIP landing page, it will be a website on our VIP server formatted as follows: "yourcompany.vipbooth.net"

Are the videos and photos saved, and can they be exported?

• Ten (10) files are created during each photo session.
• Each photo session creates five (5) .jpg photo files:
  • Four poses and one composite strip photo.
• Each photo session creates five (5) Adobe Flash (.flv) video files:
  • One (1) 30sec. video message and four (4) clips from each photo session.

Is it complicated? What do I have to do to offer the VIP experience?

• Log-in to the operator account and create an album. Each album needs the name and date, and can be customized with a logo and color scheme.
• Select the VIP output option from the photo booth’s “Product Selection” menu.
• After the event, put your booth online using one of two methods:
  • Via a wired Ethernet connection.
  • Use an wireless cellular modem (a.k.a., an “aircard”). This option requires the additional cost of a monthly cellular data plan, but makes “real-time uploading” possible.
• Once online, all content automatically uploads to a secure server hosted by Innovative FOTO.

Is VIP secure?

• Yes. All content automatically uploads to a secure server hosted by Innovative FOTO.
• Event albums can be password-protected to provide an additional layer of security.

How do my clients view the exported videos and photos?

• Adobe Flash videos and photos can be exported to both a USB flash drive or burned to DVD-ROM media.
• Photos are viewed on a PC or Mac computer as .jpeg files.
• Videos must be played on a PC or Mac computer using one of a number of free Adobe Flash video players.

I am an existing customer. How do I get the new VIP software?

• VIP Technology comes as a standard feature in all new photo booths, and is an optional upgrade for existing customers with qualified booths. If you have not already received upgrade CDs, please Contact Us for information on upgrading your booth.
